The Arc of Northeast Mississippi is excited to invite families, friends, and community members to The Arc in the Park & Fishing Fun with Hope Outdoors on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Bay Springs Recreational Beach and Fishing Area.
This is a free family event filled with fishing, food, games, prizes, entertainment, and opportunities to spend time together outdoors.
Schedule of Events
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM — Open Fishing with Hope Outdoors Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy fishing with assistance from Hope Outdoors and event volunteers.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM — Lunch & Announcements Enjoy lunch with us as we recognize participants, volunteers, and community supporters.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM — Games, Prizes & Closing Ceremony We'll wrap up the day with family activities, games, prizes, and our closing ceremony.

We want to make sure every participant has the assistance and equipment they need to enjoy the day.
Our registration form allows families to tell us about the person who will be fishing, including their age, disability, accessibility requirements, assistance needed, and whether fishing equipment or bait will be needed. This information will help us plan for the right number of volunteers and supplies.

Volunteers Needed!
Events like this are only possible with the help of our community, and we need volunteers!
Volunteer opportunities include helping participants with fishing, assisting with lunch service, welcoming families and helping with registration, and assisting with games and other activities throughout the day.
Volunteers will receive a free event T-shirt and lunch. The Arc can also verify and sign off on volunteer service hours as needed, and volunteers will receive a certificate documenting their volunteer service.
