2024 JOB EXTRAVAGANZA

The Inclusive Job Fair aims to provide students from Tupelo and Lee County schools with an enriching and inclusive work experience. By exploring various job stations and receiving feedback on different employment tasks, students will gain valuable insights into the workforce. Local businesses will set up these stations, supported by volunteers and teachers. The event seeks to raise awareness and promote inclusion for students in the workforce, thereby enhancing their chances for independence and productivity. Please note, this event is not open to the public. Students will be transported to the venue via bus. The event will be held at the Tupelo Furniture Market, Building #4, on November 7th, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

With sponsorship and support from the Arc Northwest Mississippi and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services, the Arc of Northeast Mississippi is thrilled to host this Inclusive Job Fair in Northeast Mississippi. The fair aims to provide students with invaluable educational experiences while showcasing their potential to local businesses. We have successfully organized similar events in the past and are excited to offer this opportunity to Tupelo-area businesses.

Participants will receive a table, chairs, and space for a mock workstation, but they will need to bring their own supplies. Special requirements, such as electricity, can be noted on the registration form. Lunch will be provided for exhibitors. There is no fee for exhibitors or resource tables, but space is limited. Businesses unable to provide a workstation can still participate as sponsors by sharing information or product samples with students and educators.

Sponsors / Donations / Volunteers

We appreciate event sponsors and donations, both monetary and product, due to the large scale of this event. We need donation gift cards to thank our volunteers, as well as snacks like chips, snack cakes, cookies, and fruit for the students. All contributions will be used for student bags and materials to enhance the experience for students and participating businesses. Sponsors donating $250 or more will be recognized on our website, event advertising, and will receive an event t-shirt featuring their company name. Additionally, we are seeking volunteers to assist with the students; service groups are welcome and will receive certificates for their hours.
